I used to tell people how to fix their lives for a living, then I got sick. Of myself. I've reverted to my natural state: writer, researcher, and firm believer that sitting down with coffee counts as doing something important and not every moment requires a 6 step self help routine.  I’ve been featured in The New York Times and contributed to two Amazon bestsellers,  written for POPSUGAR, Austin Fusion Magazine and Austin Moms Blog... which sounds rather grand until you see me negotiating with a cat over possession of my desk, then diving for a mug full of hot coffee before it hits the floor. I mostly write about adulting's unexpected detours we all experience but ignore.

 

I notice things, ask questions, and keep receipts, which is either a writing practice or grounds for concern among my family and exes. Then I write it all down before someone tells me to turn it into a reel with weird dancing.
